ActionAid Pakistan (AAPk) is currently seeking qualified and experienced applicants to fill the above mentioned position in its Country Office – Islamabad. Details of the position are:
 Core Responsibilities:
 This senior position requires a competent candidate to provide strategic guidance, leadership and management support to ActionAid Pakistan Women’s Right Theme based on on-going analysis of new developments and changing dynamics of national and global context, impacting on women.
  •  Developing short-term and long-term strategic plans & ensuring implementation in coordination and collaboration with relevant units, area offices, partners and other stakeholders based on Human Rights Based Approach to development and change with the lens of women’s rights.
  • Organizing and leading AAPk’s advocacy activities to promote and ensure the protection and fulfilment of the rights of women in Pakistan.
  • Facilitating gender based analysis of the issues with perspective of planning, strategization and actions at all levels.
  • Coordinating and linking AAPk’s women’s right work at provincial, national & international level.
  • Working on the development of the team through performance appraisals, capacity building, etc.
  • Ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of AAPk’s work on women rights.
  • Effective engagement with actors and players in the women’s rights movement and civil society alongwith critical engagement with government across the country at all level, through alliance building, profiling of AAPk’s work on Women’s rights and issue based partnerships, which are in line with national and international strategies..
  • Developing strategies to ensure that Women’s Rights is understood as a principle and a core programmatic area within AAPk and ensuring that understanding is translated into programming from DA to national level.
  • Creating enabling environment to empower women’s staff for taking up leadership roles within AAPk, partners and outside of the organization
  • Preparing and submitting regular reports and documentation regarding women’s rights theme and developing proposals for new initiatives on the basis of critical review & reflection process of Women’s Rights work at all levels
  • Being a member of Senior Management Team supports other programme, human resource and organizational development works
 Candidate Profile:
  • Masters Degree in Social Sciences, women and gender studies or other relevant disciplines with the focus on gender equality and women rights/empowerment and feminism
  • Indepth Understanding of feminism, and a commitment towards principles of feminism with a track record.
  • Minimum 5 Years Relevant Experience of empowerment, solidarity and campaigning in a leading position
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Analytical and administrative skills
  • Understanding of Human Rights Based Approach
  • Experience of working with diverse civil society organizations
  • Exposure/ability to work in a diversified multicultural set-up.
